Municipality of Erdut is placed at the easternmost part of Croatia and Osijek-Baranja County. Economic base consists of agriculture, trade and in the last 15 years sustainable tourism development. Municipality of Erdut has a number of natural and cultural attraction and has established tourism as one of its main development drivers. Some of them are: Erdut grape growing and wine making region with its status of protected landscape, Erdut winery within former summer estate Adamović-Cseh famous for its wooden barrel capacity 75.000l listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Danube and Drava provide excellent preconditions for recreational and active tourism development. Municipality area is protected within ecological network NATURA 2000 and special biosphere reserve Mura-Drava-Danube. Cultural heritage are:12 archaeological sites, 2 ethnological buildings and a number of World War II related sites. It also hosts famous Marian pilgrimage site in Aljmaš, medieval Erdut tower, birth place of world climatologist and scientist Milutin Milankovic and patriarchate church, mansion and park built in 1764 and protected as national cultural site.

All this represents unique and diverse base for Municipality tourism products. Erdut municipality has 18 registered family farms involved in providing tourism services and is annually visited by over 150.000 tourists.

Project activities are designed to create touristic offer for blind and visually impaired persons. Through innovative tourism approach blind and visually impaired persons as well as other tourists will be able to learn more about Erdut Municipality, Osijek-Baranja County and Vukovar-Srijem County. Municipality’s resources have been taken in account and valorised in the making of Municipality Comprehensive Development.
